Founded in 1842, located in Santiago ,the capital of Chile, distributed in five campuses ,the Universidad de Chile is the country’s foremost university. The two  Chilean Nobel Prize winners, Pablo Neruda and Gabriela Mistral, as well as  61% of the  Chile’s Presidents, have been alumni of the University of Chile. The University Enrols 25,000 undergraduate and 6,000 graduate students. It is an autonomous, public and national university, and develops about the 32% of all scientific and technological research at the national level. It is ranked number 4 for Latin America in the Web metrics classification.
